Purpose

Pursuant to an Authorisation from Cabinet
(23/06/2021): Procurement of Front-Line Fire Engine Appliance
Replacements & Executive Decision paper (11/06/2023) Award of
contract(s) for the supply of Front-Line Pumping Appliances.

Following:

A Cabinet Decision on 23 June 2021 to delegate authority to the
Chief Fire Officer, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for
Fire, Community Safety and Libraries (previously Cabinet Member for
Public Protection, Parking and Libraries) to conduct a
mini-competition under the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC)
Emergency Response Vehicle Framework Agreement to procure up to 12
Front Line Pumping Appliances.

A decision taken on 11 June 2023, pursuant to the Cabinet Decision
described above, to award a call-off contract for the supply of 10
Front Line Pumping Appliances under Lot 2 of the DS339-20 Framework
Agreement for Emergency Response Vehicles for UK Fire and Rescue
Services to Angloco Limited (“the Contract”).

THE DECISION

To modify the Contract to permit an increase of the price for each
Chassis by £1,500 per Chassis total £15,000
increase.

Subject to the taking of separate decisions, to allow through
submission of future contract change(s) to enhance from the base
build as quoted in the Contract and if deemed appropriate and
authorised.

To allow vehicle equipment supply as part of the project to be
sourced from current GCC suppliers and/or Angloco Ltd as the
vehicle build awarded contractor, to enable the project to be
fulfilled, any equipment procured to follow established procurement
options and comply with the Council’s Contract Procedure
Rules.
