Purpose

Pursuant to an Authorisation from
Cabinet:

Decision: To delegate authority to the Executive Director of Adult
Social Care and Public Health, in consultation with the Cabinet
Member for Public Health and Communities and the Executive Director
for Corporate Resources to allocate the Local Authority Contain
Outbreak Management Fund in order to deliver the objectives in the
Local Outbreak Management Plan in accordance with the
Council’s standing orders and procurement legislation.

On 28th September 2022, Peter Bungard, Chief Executive, delegated
authority to the Director of Public Health to take the Delegated
Decision in place of the Executive Director of Adult Social Care
and Public Health to whom authority was originally delegated by
Cabinet on 27th January 2021.

Having consulted with the Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member
for Public Health and Communities) and the Interim Executive
Director: Corporate Resources in accordance with a decision taken
by Cabinet on 27th January 2021:

DECISION

To allocate £305,000 from the Local Authority Contain
Outbreak Management Fund to support the rural bus and community
transport network.

The funding will be applied to existing public transport contracts
that provide bus services to rural areas, in the proportions set
out in the terms and conditions of each category 7 (public
transport) contract, in accordance with the contractual mechanism
contained therein (clause 36.5) which is used for adjusting
contract prices to address inflationary pressures. Such contracts
are managed by Gloucestershire County Council’s Integrated
Transport Unit.
