Purpose

To seek approval for an additional
£240,000 to be allocated to the Build Back Better Councillor
Grant Scheme, providing a maximum of an additional £30,000
for each County Councillor responsible for the twelve Lower Super
Output Areas (LSOAs) in Gloucestershire which fall within the 10%
most deprived nationally, to spend within those communities, within
the existing Build Back Better Scheme criteria

Decision

That the Leader rejects the
alternative options and takes the recommended decision
to:
 

Approve the
allocation of £240,000 from the Technical & Countywide
Contingency funded by the General Fund Reserve to the Build Back
Better Councillor Grant Scheme, with a maximum of £30,000
allocated to each of the eight divisions that contain LSOAs in
Gloucestershire which fall within the 10% most deprived nationally
(as shown above), to be spent in line with the existing Build Back
Better Councillor Grant Scheme criteria, and

 

Delegate authority to
the Director of Public Health in consultation with the Leader of
the Council and the County Councillor who represents that division
to approve each grant to be awarded.
