Purpose

To seek approval to accept a grant from the
Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) and develop a Delivery Plan
for the delivery of the Connect to Work employment programme
between April 2025 and March 2030

Decision

That the Cabinet Member for
Environment, Economy and Planning rejects the alternative options
and takes the recommended decision to:
 
a)   
Approve the receipt by the council of funding, (the
“Funding”) in its role as the Accountable Body from the
Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to be determined through the
development of a Delivery Plan.
 
b)   
Delegate authority to the Executive Director for Economy,
Environment and Infrastructure, in consultation with the Cabinet
Member for Environment, Economy and Planning, to allocate such
funding to the delivery of the Connect to Work programme as set out
in Appendix 1 to this report in the period January 2025 to March
2030
