Full council record

Purpose

To determine the
School Admissions Arrangements for 2026 -27, including:

The Co-ordinated Admissions
Schemes for all schools and academies
The Admission Arrangements for
Community & Voluntary Controlled Schools
The Protocol for pupil admittance
over Published Admission Number (PAN) for Community & Voluntary
Controlled Schools and Service Personnel.

Note:

Admission
authorities are only required to complete a full public
consultation once every seven years. The last consultation was
completed in 2023 for the 2025 admission arrangements.
Therefore, no consultation on the admission arrangements for C and
VC schools is necessary.

There are 2 schools
for whom GCC is the admission authority who are consulting on
reducing their Published Admission Number (PAN).
Fairford Primary
School wish to reduce from 45 to 30
Foxmoor Primary
wish to reduce from 37 to 30

These schools have
requested a reduction in PAN as they have not admitted to PAN in
previous years.  This reduction has been considered in
conjunction with the schools and Planning Team and reflects future
Place Planning forecasts as well as the class structures within the
schools.
Reducing PAN will
allow them to manage their resources more effectively.
