Purpose
Pursuant to an Authorisation from: Full
Council on 20 March 2024, approved a Scheme of Members’
Allowances regarding the remuneration of elected Members. This
followed consideration of a report and recommendations from an
Independent Remuneration Panel (IRP), as required by the Local
Authorities (Members’ Allowances) (England) Regulations
2003.

DECISION
This decision is to confirm the application of
the existing Members’ Allowances Scheme as follows:
A 4.04% increase to the
members’ Basic Allowance for 2025/26. This will result in an increase to the Basic
Allowance from £12,075 to £12,562.83.
A 2.5% increase to all Special
Responsibility Allowances for 2025/26.
