Purpose

To seek authority to award, without further
competition, a one-year contract to Insight Direct (UK) Ltd (acting
as a reseller on behalf of Assured Digital Technologies Services,
formerly MDS Technologies) for the continuation of hosting
services.
These services will be continued under a new contracted agreement,
commencing on 1st April 2025 for a one-year period. The Direct
Award will be issued using the NHS Digital Workplace Solutions
Framework (SBS / 19 / AB / WAB / 9411) which permits a direct award
to any supplier on the Framework for a period of up to seven
years.
The proposed call-off contract shall continue for a period one (1)
year commencing 1st April 2025 with the option of two further
extensions each for a period of 12 months.

Decision

That the Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for
Transformation and Change rejects the alternative
options and takes the recommended decision to:
 

Approve the award to
the preferred tenderer, namely Insight Direct (UK) (acting as a
reseller on behalf of Assured Digital Technologies), a call-off
contract under the NHS Digital Workplace Solutions Framework
Agreement (SBS / 19 / AB / WAB / 9411) for the supply of Data
Centre Hosting Services.

 
The
above call-off contract shall be awarded without further
competition in accordance with the direct contract award rules of
the framework and shall continue for an initial period of one year
commencing 1st April 2025 and include options to extend its term
for a further period of one year on both its first and second
anniversary (i.e. 1+1+1 years).
 

Delegate authority to
the Director of People and Digital Services, in consultation with
the Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Transformation and Change
to determine whether to exercise the options to extend the term of
the above contract for a further period of one year on both its
first and second anniversary.
