Purpose
The purpose of the
Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) is to provide information to
local planning authorities (LPAs), developers, and all stakeholders
on how and where biodiversity and nature will be recovered in
Gloucestershire.
Delegated authority is sought to launch an initial public
consultation on the draft LNRS
Decision
That the Cabinet Member for
Environment, Economy and Planning rejects the alternative options
and takes the recommended decision to:
Delegate authority to the
Executive Director of Economy, Environment & Infrastructure, in
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Environment and Planning
to:
Conduct a formal
public consultation on the draft Local Nature Recovery Strategy in
May/June 2025 for a period of 6 weeks;
Following public
consultation, assess representations on the draft Local Nature
Recovery Strategy, make any amendments as considered necessary and
publish all responses; and
Submit the final
Local Nature Recovery Strategy to Cabinet for full approval and
adoption in autumn 2025.
