Full council record
Purpose
The decision will implement discretionary
inflationary uplifts approved by Cabinet and full Council as part
of the MTFS process and apply to contracts with non-NHS providers
held by Public Health and Communities that are necessitated by
inflation and the additional unforeseen costs associated with
changes in the National Living Wage (NLW) and employers’
National Insurance (NI) contributions.
In cases where a contract modification is required to implement the
uplift, the uplift will only be implemented following further
advice from procurement and legal colleagues that that uplift in
the contract value is lawful under the relevant procurement
legislation.
Decision
To approve the implementation of inflationary
uplifts in contracts between the Council and providers of Public
Health and Communities’ commissioned services during
financial year 2025/26, in line with the uplifts in the Medium-Term
Financial Statement (MTFS) final revenue and capital budget
2025/26-2028/29; as approved by Cabinet and full Council on the
29th January 2025 and 19th February 2025
respectively.
