Purpose

The council needs
to refresh its ICT and mobile telephony equipment on a four-yearly
cycle to make sure that all council employees have equipment which
is fit for purpose and under guarantee.
The council buys these devices in batches so that the work can be
done as a continual process and there is adequate storage space for
equipment and distributed to employees.

This is the eighth Executive Decision Report in relation to the
purchase of replacement ICT hardware in accordance with ICM
decision dated 15/10/2021 as the council requires another order to
supply Dell 24” P2422HE (USB-C HUB) Monitors, Dell 5350
laptops, Dell All-In-One 7420 desktops, and 90 Samsung Galaxy A34
Mobile Phones to meet current business requirements.

Following
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Finance and Change in
accordance with an Individual Cabinet Decision dated 15th October
2021 relating to the procurement of replacement contracts for the
supply of ICT user devices and mobile telephony, and an Executive
Officer Decision taken by Director of Digital & People Services
in relation to replacement contracts for the supply of ICT user
devices and mobile telephony, as described in the Background
Section of this report.

DECISIONS

1. To order the below stated kit pursuant to the terms of the
council’s call-off contract with Dell Corporation Ltd under
Lot 1 and Lot 2 of the NHS Digital Workplace Framework: Link3
(Hardware) – SBS10044:

(a) 600 Dell 24” P2422HE (USB-C HUB) Monitors;

(b) 600 Dell 5350 Laptops; and

(c) 50 Dell All-In-One 7420 Desktops

and

2. To order up to 90 Samsung Galaxy A34 Mobile Phones pursuant to
the council’s call-off contract with XMA Ltd under Lot 3 of
the NHS Digital Workplace Framework: Link3 (Hardware) –
SBS10044

Decision

Following consultation with the Cabinet Member
