Purpose
To seek approval to procure and award a
contract for the delivery of structural maintenance works in
respect of carriageway resurfacing for a period of up to 8 years
commencing on 01 April 2026 following the expiry of the
council’s current contract.

structural maintenance works in respect of carriageway resurfacing

Having considered all of the information,
Cabinet noted the report and
RESOLVED to:
Delegate authority to the
Executive Director of Economy, Environment & Infrastructure in
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Highways to:
1.
Conduct a competitive process in respect of a
contract for the supply of structural maintenance works in respect
of carriageway resurfacing. The proposed contract shall continue
for an initial period of 4 years and include a 4-year extension
option.
2.
Award the above contract to the preferred tenderer;
and
3.
Determine whether to exercise the above extension
options at the relevant times.
