Purpose

To provide Cabinet with a report outlining the
business case for an improvement partner to support adult social
care to deliver its Prevent, Reduce, Delay Transformation
workstream.

Decision

Cllr Dr Kate Usmar
sought Cabinet approval to procure the services of
an external improvement partner to support Gloucestershire County
Council’s (GCC’s) Adult Social Care service to deliver
the objectives of GCC’s “Prevent, Reduce, Delay”
transformation workstream.
 
Having considered all of the
information, Cabinet noted the report and

RESOLVED to:
 
 

1.             
Approve the procurement, by means of a competitive
process, of a contract for the supply of consultancy services by an
external improvement partner to support the delivery of GCC’s
Adult Social Care transformation programme described in the main
body of this report. The proposed contract will continue for a
period of eighteen months.

2.             
Delegate authority to the Executive Director of
Adult Social Care, Wellbeing and Communities, in consultation with
the Cabinet Member for Adults’ Support and Independence, the
S151 Officer, and the Cabinet Member for Finance, Assets &
Transformation to award the above contract to the preferred
tenderer, following receipt of a financial case and benefits
realisation plan.
