Purpose

To seek delegated authority to commission
highways construction works utilising the County Councils Highways
Term Maintenance Contract and make such ancillary orders as are
necessary to successfully implement the said scheme
 

Decision

In coming to this decision I have given due
and full regard to the requirements of the public sector equality
duty contained in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 (“the
Act”) by reference to the law itself. Having fully considered
all the available information, I have decided to reject the
alternative options and take the recommended decision to:
 

1.   
Commission construction works through the Council’s Highways
Term Maintenance Contract with Ringway Infrastructure Services
Limited to deliver the A40 Hambrook House (Spring) Bridge
Reconstruction Scheme (the “Scheme”); and
 

2.   
Make such ancillary traffic regulation orders as may be required in
order to successfully implement the Scheme (such as temporary
traffic regulation orders (TTROs) for road closures, speed limits,
etc.) during its construction phase.
