Purpose
The National Landscape Conservation Board for
the Malvern Hills has requested that GCC adopt its Management Plan.
The Conservation Board for the Cotswolds National Management Plan
has asked that GCC endorse its Management Plan.
The Malvern Hills National Landscape
Management Plan 2025-30 and the Cotswolds National Landscape
Management Plan 2025-30 are statutory plans. They set out the
vision, outcomes and policies for the management of these areas for
the period 2025-2030. GCC, as a ‘relevant authority’
under the CROW Act, has a duty to consider the potential effect any
of its decisions and activities will have on the National
Landscape.
Decision
Cllr Julian Tooke, Cabinet Member: Business,
Economic Development, Planning and Infrasture approved the following decision in
relation to Adoption of the Malvern Hills National Landscape
Management Plan 2025-30 and endorsement of the Cotswolds National
Landscape Management Plan 2025-30
In coming to this
decision, Cllr Tooke gave due and full regard to the requirements
of the public sector equality duty contained in section 149 of the
Equality Act 2010 (“the Act”) by reference to the law
itself.
Having fully
considered all the available information, Cllr Tooke decided to
reject the alternative options and take the recommended decisions
to:
a)
Adopt the Malvern Hills National Landscape Management Plan
2025-30
b)
Endorse the Cotswolds National Landscape Management Plan
2025-30

out in the published decision report.
