Purpose

To seek Cabinet approval for Gloucestershire
County Council (GCC) to continue participating in the existing
“Southwest Residential Dynamic Purchasing
System”.  This provides independent residential
children’s homes placements for children in care and is
operated by South Gloucestershire.

Decision

Cllr Ben Evans sought Cabinet
approval for Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) to continue
participating in the existing “Southwest Residential Dynamic
Purchasing System”. This provides independent residential

Having considered all of the information,
Cabinet noted the report and

RESOLVED to:
 
 

1.             
Approve an extension commencing 1st April 2026 until
23rd February 2029 to the term of the Southwest Residential Dynamic
Purchasing System. This provides independent residential homes for children in care
and is operated by South Gloucestershire Council on behalf of
itself, Gloucestershire County Council, North Somerset Council and
Bath and North-East Somerset Council.
 

2.             
Delegate authority to the Director of
Children’s Commissioning and Partnerships and to the Head of
Service for Placements to admit or remove suppliers to/from the
Dynamic Purchasing System during its term in accordance with the
Dynamic Purchasing System’s selection criteria.
