Cllr Kate Usmar sought Cabinet approval to review the service options for Great Western Court (GWC) in line with the implementation of the Adult Social Care, (ASC) Prevention Strategy and revised Target Operating Model.
Having considered all of the information, Cabinet noted the report and
RESOLVED to:
- Approve the closure of Great Western Court

Declare Great Western Court as surplus to the Council’s land and property requirements and reinvests the staffing budget and resources into home-based reablement and prevention services as described in Option 3 set out in the main body of this report.
- Delegate authority to the Assistant Director – Asset Management and Property Services to dispose of the site in consultation with the Deputy Leader & Cabinet Member for Finance, Assets & Transformation and the Deputy Chief Executive & Executive Director for Corporate Resources (S151 Officer).
