Gloucestershire County Council's Cabinet approved the adoption of a DIY Waste Charging Policy for excess waste at Household Recycling Centres on 22/07/2026. The policy will be implemented by the Executive Director of Economy, Environment and Infrastructure in consultation with the Cabinet member for Nature, Climate and Waste Reduction. This includes implementing the policy, procuring an online booking and payment system, and modifying the contract with Ubico Ltd for additional staff.

Gloucestershire County Council's Cabinet Member for Children's Safeguarding and Care approved modifications to the council's contract with Affinity Trust for Positive Behaviour Support Services on 31/03/2026. This change alters the delivery method and payment mechanism from a payment-by-results model to a standardised block contract. The council will continue to fully fund the service, replacing grant funding with council funding.

Ann James, Executive Director for Children's Services, approved the commissioning of a Pause Programme delivery contract and the payment of a licence fee on 29/05/2026. The programme will be delivered by The Nelson Trust for 23 months, with a licence fee paid to Pause for Change. This decision aims to support women who have experienced recurrent removals of their children.

Gloucestershire County Council's Cabinet approved the allocation of substance use grant funding for 2026-2029 on 20/05/2026. This includes modifying the contract with Via Care Ltd for additional drug and alcohol treatment services, allocating funds to the Youth Support Service, and funding the Employment and Skills Hub. The funding is from the Drug and Alcohol Treatment and Recovery Improvement Grant and the Independent Placement Support grant.

County Councillor Colin Hay, Deputy Leader & Cabinet Member for Finance, Assets & Transformation, approved the appointment of Oliver Woodhams as a Local Authority Non-Executive Director to the Board of Ubico Ltd on 09/06/2026. Authority was delegated to the Deputy Chief Executive and Executive Director of Resources to finalise the terms of the appointment.

The Minerals and Waste Planning Authority will commence preparation of the Minerals and Waste Plan, with key dates for public consultation and submission to the Secretary of State set between September 2026 and July 2028. This plan will replace existing Minerals and Waste Local Plans.
