Purpose

Pursuant to an Authorisation from the Council’s Scheme of Delegation: GEN 1 - To enter into any contract for works and the supply of goods and services

Decision

To?approve, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Public Health, Communities and Fire, the allocation of?national ring-fenced?grant funding?to the modification of Gloucestershire County Council’s (GCC’s) Gloucestershire Refugee Resettlement Programme “GRRP” contract with Gloucestershire Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers (GARAS) by:

1. Extending the term of the support service for Ukrainian refugees for a period of 9 months commencing on 1st April 2026 in order to afford the council the opportunity to conduct a procurement process for a replacement contract; and
    

1. Expanding the scope to incorporate delivery of support to Afghan refugees currently covered by Gloucester City Council’s outgoing Afghan support contract during the above 9-month period.
