Purpose

To seek approval to increase the value of the council’s existing Minor Reactive Works and Statutory Servicing Framework Agreement for the purpose of enabling the continued delivery of ongoing statutory servicing and reactive minor works under it, where the value of such servicing and works does not exceed £15,000.

Decision

In coming to this decision I have given due and full regard to the requirements of the public sector equality duty contained in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 (“the Act”) by reference to the law itself.

Having fully considered all the available information, I have decided to reject the alternative options and take the recommended decision to:

  1. Approve a modification to the Council’s existing Minor Reactive Works and Statutory Servicing Framework Agreement that will increase its value from £5.6 million to £8.1 million. This will enable the Council to vary the call-off contracts previously awarded under the framework for the provision of ongoing statutory servicing and reactive minor works, allowing them to continue until the earlier of their completion or the replacement of the framework by a new framework agreement, due to commence in Spring 2027 that was approved by Cabinet on 3rd December 2025; and

Delegate authority to the Interim Assistant Director – Asset Management and Property Services, in consultation with the Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Finance, Assets and Transformation, to implement the Recommendations above and take all necessary steps associated with management of the existing framework agreement prior to its expiry.
