The Monitoring Officer Appointment Sub-Committee is responsible for advising on the appointment of the GLA's Monitoring Officer, a statutory role established by the Greater London Authority Act 1999. This officer is one of three key statutory roles within the GLA, alongside the Head of Paid Service and the Chief Finance Officer. The appointment and determination of terms and conditions for these roles are made jointly by the Mayor of London and the London Assembly.
