Purpose

To consider the outcome of the informal consultation to implement pocket parks and other public realm works for the Silvertown Tunnel area

Decision

1. Noted the outcome of engagement and consultation undertaken to inform the development of the SiTEA proposals.
2. Approved the preliminary designs for the Silvertown Tunnel Enhancement Area (SiTEA) works, as set out in Appendix A of the report, to enable progression to detailed design and delivery.
3. Noted that progression through the detailed design phase will require Traffic Management Orders (TMOs) and/or other statutory approvals to implement specific elements of the scheme. These will be subject to separate decision reports and statutory consultation, where required.
4. Noted that construction delivery will be undertaken in line with the Council’s highways and project delivery arrangements, subject to detailed design completion, statutory consultation advertisement/making approved by Director of Communities, Environment and Central and funding confirmation.
