Scrutiny Panel

The Scrutiny Panel is responsible for overseeing all scrutiny activities within Hackney, holding the Council and its partners accountable for decisions made regarding local services. It examines the Council's corporate support, governance, and financial strategy, including budgets, revenues, Council Tax, and legal services. The panel also scrutinises ICT, digital transformation, performance monitoring, policy development, customer services, complaints, and communications. Through 'critical friend challenge' and engagement with residents, the panel contributes to service development and improvement.
