The Climate, Sustainability and Travel Policy and Accountability Committee scrutinises the Council's work on climate change, transport, and environmental matters. It has the powers of an Overview and Scrutiny Committee, allowing it to review council decisions, monitor spending, and make policy recommendations to the Cabinet. The committee also reviews the impact of flood risk management authorities on the local area. Its remit includes climate emergency response, transport policy, parking, traffic management, planning impacts on infrastructure and the environment, and ecology. The committee's role is to hold the relevant Cabinet Member(s) accountable and ensure effective administration within its scope.
