Environment, Arts and Culture Policy and Accountability Committee

The Environment, Arts and Culture Policy and Accountability Committee scrutinises the Council's work in areas such as public sports facilities, regeneration, arts and culture, libraries, the local environment, street cleansing, and waste management. It develops policy recommendations for the Cabinet and monitors the administration and spending of services within its scope. The committee reviews the impact of council decisions and policies and holds relevant Cabinet Members accountable, operating under powers defined by the Local Government Act 2000 and the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007.
