The Families, Health and Care Policy and Accountability Committee is responsible for scrutinising council policies and decisions related to children, education, health, and adult social care in Hammersmith and Fulham. It has the powers of an Overview and Scrutiny Committee, including discharging functions under various Health and Social Care Acts.
The committee develops policy, makes recommendations to the Cabinet, monitors service administration and spending, and reviews the impact of implemented policies. Its scope covers children's education, special educational needs, child protection, safeguarding for children and adults, NHS services, mental health services, and adult social care.
