Decision

That the Cabinet Member for
Adult Social Care and Health:

Notes that the
approximate contract value is outlined in Exempt Appendix 2 and is
not for publication on the basis that it contains information
relating to the financial or business affairs of any person
(including the authority holding that information) as set out in
paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as
amended).

Approves the
procurement strategy and recommendation to commence a competitive
procurement exercise for the provision of a new Tier 2 Adult Weight
Management Service for H&F, for up to five years from July
2025.

Reasons for the decision

Providing services such as
these that improve the health of people who live in their area is a
duty of local authority public health teams (Section 12 of the
Health and Social Care Act 2012), and therefore commissioning this
service will assist H&F in meeting their legislative
duty.
