Purpose
This report seeks approval to award a works
contract to enable the continuation of a programme to replace
insulated panels forming part of the external walls of residential
buildings, either fixed to masonry or incorporated into window
frames.
Decision
1.
To note that Appendices 1-2 are not for publication
on the basis that they contain information relating to the
financial or business affairs of any particular person (including
the authority holding that information) as set out in paragraph 3
of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as
amended).
2.
That the Executive Director of Finance and
Corporate Services, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Housing and Homelessness,
approves the appointment of Mulalley & Company Ltd. via
the South East Consortium Fire Safety
Framework (External Fire Protection) (“SEC
Framework”), to
undertake spandrel panel replacement and associated works to
1-68 Herbert Morrison House SW6, 1-68 Jepson
House SW6, 9-67 Muscal House W6, and 1-28 Standish House W6
for a sum of £944,849.
The project is expected to start on Tuesday, 20 January 2025 with
an estimated completion date, including sign off by the Building
Regulator, of Wednesday, 18 July 2026.

That the Executive
Director of Finance and Corporate Services, in
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Housing and Homelessness,
approves the
contingency sum detailed in exempt Appendix 2 to deal with any
unforeseen works that may arise during the delivery of the
project.

That the
Executive Director of Finance and Corporate
Services, in
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Housing and Homelessness,
notes that the consultancy support will be provided by Baily Garner
LLP. in accordance with the procurement strategy and contract award
approved in October 2021. Fees of £29,233 have been incurred
to date out of a total estimated fee of £57,300.
