Purpose

We are seeking approval to:
1) Extend our Asbestos Remedial Term-Service contract with
Cablesheer (Asbestos) Limited. We seek to action the 24 month
contract allowable extension. This extension will cover the period
of 01st of August 2025 until the 31st of July 2027.
2) We seek approval to extend the total contract value from
£1,382,341.33 to £1,673,721.

Decision

Approval of the
extension of the existing Tersus Consultancy Limited Asbestos
surveying and analytical contract for 24 months, applicable
covering the term of Saturday, 27 September 2025 to Monday, 27
September 2027.

 

Approval to vary the
contract by increasing the contract value from £2,250,000 to
£2,470,173.84.

 

Reasons for the decision

Hammersmith and Fulham Council
has a legal obligation to ensure its properties are maintained and
as a landlord it needs to carry out Asbestos surveys to identify
Asbestos before intrusive repairs are carried out as well as to
periodically inspect asbestos in non-domestic areas. This is a
vital service to maintain Health and Safety of residents and
contractor staff.
