Purpose

The purpose of this report is to seek approval
to undertake a Local Plan Regulation 18 consultation which is the
first consultation stage of the Local Plan review process. This
stage allows the public, stakeholders, and other relevant parties
to provide feedback on the draft local plan before it moves to the
next stage.

Decision

That Cabinet approved
the draft Local Plan Regulation 18 for public consultation
(Appendix 1).

That Cabinet gave
delegated authority to the Director of Planning and Property, in
consultation with the Cabinet Member for the Economy, to make any
necessary editorial amendments and minor changes to the appendices
prior to consultation.

That Cabinet approved
the adoption and publication of the attached revised Local
Development Scheme (Appendix 2) to reflect the adjusted Local Plan
timetable.

That Cabinet approved
the updated Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) for adoption
(Appendix 3).

That Cabinet noted
that the evidence base documents (listed in this report) will be
published alongside the regulation 18 Local Plan.
