Purpose

The Council has responsibilities under the
Civil Contingencies Act 2004 to plan and respond to emergencies and
to have business continuity arrangements in place to reduce the
risk of service disruption.

This annual report provides an overview of activity over the
previous year and the priorities and work plan for the forthcoming
year. The report highlights areas of work for the new financial
year to ensure continuous improvement in the service.
