Purpose

The direct award approval to
MILESTONE CONTRACTING LIMITED
follows our recently approved
procurement strategy report which is intended to support an
overarching strategy to improve outcomes from the responsive
repairs service – specifically by providing additional
capacity to support on the delivery of disrepair works.
 

Decision

1.   
To note that Appendix 1 is not for publication on
the basis that it contains information relating to the financial or
business affairs of any particular person (including the authority
holding that information) as set out in paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A
of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).
 

2.   
Direct award a ‘Disrepair Works’
contract for a maximum value of £4,500,000 for a contract
period of 36 months to Milestone Contracting Limited. The contract
will look to apportion the spend equally at £1,500,000 per
annum across the 3-year contract period.  We aim to incept the contract as soon as
allowable.
