Funding requirement for Authority Financed
Assets for waste, recycling and street cleansing contract

Decision

1.   
To agree that Appendix 1 is not for publication on
the basis that it contains information relating to the financial or
business affairs of any particular person (including the authority
holding that information) as set out in paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A
of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).
 

2.   
That the Strategic Director of Environment approves the
proposals for introducing wheeled bin domestic waste and recycling
collections and garden waste collection services under the new
waste, recycling, and street cleansing contract. The contract
requires the introduction of food waste collections across the
borough within its first two years and this paper recommends that
wheeled bins (where space allows) and garden waste be implemented
during the same period, through a phased approach, maximising
recycling collected through the contract as early as possible. The
indicative financial implications are contained in Appendix
1.
