The Cabinet approved the draft Local Plan Regulation 19 and supporting documents for a six-week consultation period on 06/07/2026. Delegated authority was given to the Director of Planning and Property, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for the Economy, to make editorial amendments, submit the Plan for examination, and deal with any arising matters.

The Deputy Leader approved the award of a contract for the delivery of the Self-Directed Support Service to the Preferred Supplier for an initial period of 3 years with an option to extend for an additional 2 years, starting 1st June 2026. This service is designed to place choice, control, and personalisation at its core for residents receiving adult social care.

The Executive Director of People's Services, in consultation with the Deputy Leader, approved the award of a contract to the Preferred Supplier to create two 20-place SEN units for primary phase pupils with autism at Brackenbury and Wormholt Park Primary Schools. The contract includes a project contingency and an additional programme contingency of 10%.

The Deputy Leader approved a contract variation to transfer 21 beds at Farm Lane from the NHS block to the Local Authority, with effect from on or around 1 October 2026 to 31 May 2031. The beds will be designated as Nursing General and Nursing Dementia from 1 April 2026.
