Councillor Frances Umeh, Cabinet Member for Housing and Homelessness, approved the award of a contract for the major refurbishment of Swan Court and Ravensworth Court on 23 April 2026. The contract will be awarded to the preferred supplier who provided the Most Economically Advantageous Tender via the South East Consortium's Internal and External Works Framework. The refurbishment is expected to start in August 2026 and finish in April 2027, and includes a contingency sum for unforeseen works.

The Deputy Leader (responsible for Health and Social Care and Children and Education) decided on 01/09/2026 to approve a bid to the Carbon Offset Fund for Projects in Schools.

Councillor Frances Umeh, Cabinet Member for Housing and Homelessness, authorised the procurement of a suitable supplier for the capital works to upgrade Ivatt Place Playground on 20 April 2026. The project will deliver a new, inclusive playground, a landscaped public space, and a civic square, funded by a grant from ECDC.
