About

The Cabinet is Hampshire County Council's executive body, responsible for carrying out all council functions not assigned elsewhere by law or the council's constitution. The Leader, appointed by the council, forms the Cabinet by appointing its members. Each Cabinet member manages a specific portfolio and is accountable for decisions made regarding council services within their area. This body makes key decisions on behalf of the council.
