The Haringey Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE) is a statutory body responsible for advising the Local Authority on religious education and collective worship in local schools. It ensures the agreed syllabus for religious education is reviewed and provides support for its delivery. SACRE also monitors inspections related to religious education and spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development. It considers applications for schools to be released from requirements for collective worship and maintains links with faith communities. The committee produces an annual report of its activities.
