Reasons for the decision
With the mutual contract termination of the
previous EA, Silver DCC have extensive knowledge of the site,
challenges, and are best placed to provide quality EA services from
Riba stage 4 (Planning) to Riba stage 7 – (EoD)

Tendering via a mini-competition at this
critical stage was considered. However, this would mean that any
new consultant appointed would have a minimum of the required
background information of the scheme, meaning the project would
potentially incur further cost and delay to the planning submission
and subsequent start on site, with potential risk in achieving GLA
grant funding which requires the scheme to Start on Site by March
2026.
