For the Corporate Director of Finance and Resources to approve an
award of contract to HTR Construction and Roofing Limited in the
sum of £296,346.40 which includes a 10% contingency of
£26,940.58 to undertake the Health and Safety works at Wood
Green Library pursuant to Contract Standing Orders 8, 12.02 and
2.05.1n.
Approval, pursuant to Contract Standing Order 16.04, where the
provision of works, goods or services under a Contract is required
to commence prior to the issuance and execution of a formal
Contract, a Director, if satisfied that it is in the
Council’s best interest in the particular circumstances, may
approve issuance of a Letter of Intent pending the issuance and
execution of a formal Contract. However, the maximum cover afforded
by any Letter of Intent shall not exceed £100,000 or 10% of
the total Contract price, whichever is the higher value.
