To approve recommendations as set out in
Section 3 of this report.

Reasons for the decision

Encouraging more people to cycle is an
important part of the central Government and Haringey council
policy to tackle traffic congestion, improve air quality, promote
physical activity, and improve accessibility. However, many
residents, particularly those who live in flats, find it difficult
to keep bicycles at home due to a lack of storage space. The
Council, therefore, has a rolling programme to provide more secure
cycle storage (cycle hangars) on the street for residents'
use.

As part of this year's cycle parking programme, we are proposing to
install cycle hangars at various locations in the borough listed.
Locations for proposed cycle hangars have been progressed based on
requests received from residents.
