About

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee provides independent councillor-led oversight to improve council services in Harrow. It investigates poor performance, develops strategies, and offers critical support to the Executive's policy development. The committee anticipates policy changes, assesses their impact on residents, and recommends adjustments. It also reviews service and financial performance, considers items in the Forward Plan, and examines local government and crime matters. Furthermore, it scrutinises health services in Harrow and responds to consultations from health trusts and other providers. The committee also makes recommendations on voluntary sector support arrangements annually.
