Development Management Committee

The Development Management Committee is responsible for functions relating to the development management aspects of town and country planning. This includes making decisions on planning applications, planning compliance, listed building consent, conservation area consent, and control of advertisements. It comprises 11 members appointed by Council (usually one member from each Ward).  Many minor decisions are delegated to Officers to make on behalf of the Committee.
