Purpose

 
Nine tenders were received for the provision
of insurance services to Havant Borough Council and other HIF
councils for a 3-year long-term agreement with the option to extend
for a further 2 years. It is recommended that the most economically
advantageous tender received from the insurers be accepted and
contracts awarded.
 
The value of the insurance services for Havant
Borough Council under the
proposed contract would be approximately
£200,000 + insurance premium tax (12%) per annum under the
contract.
 

Decision

Approval of the insurance service contract for the Council is
required to ensure that the Council has adequate insurance in
place.
