Purpose
The two
oaks are substantial features in the landscape and have been
present for many decades. Oak are one of the longest-living species
in the UK and have very high biodiversity values, which increases
with age. These trees both have a very long remaining lifespan,
potentially in centuries. They are worthy of protecting in
arboriculture, cultural and ecological terms.
Decision
To authorise the making of
the Provisional Tree Preservation Order (2138) 2024 at
Waterlooville Golf Course, Cherry Tree Avenue, Cowplain, Waterlooville PO8 8AP
