About

The Connected Communities Scrutiny Committee, composed of non-cabinet councillors, scrutinises council services and holds decision-makers to account. It reviews policy development and carries out service reviews.

Its remit includes examining programmes and plans related to business support, development investment, higher education, adult learning, apprenticeships, digital connectivity, heritage, culture, tourism, and social value procurement. The committee also scrutinises planning, licensing, regulatory matters, highway maintenance, council housing, and community safety.
