About
The Cabinet, appointed by the Council, is responsible for delivering and implementing the budget and policies set by the full Council. It manages many of the Council's day-to-day operations, with the exception of matters reserved by law to the Council or other committees, such as planning and licensing.
The Cabinet's specific roles are outlined in the Council Constitution. Its meetings are broadcast online. Prior to May 2023, this body was known as the Executive.
