About

The Registration & Appeals Committee handles a variety of registration and appeal functions, some of which are legally required and others are at the council's discretion. It determines applications and appeals related to door supervisor registrations, nursing agencies, marriage premises licensing, miscellaneous functions, and social services homes. The committee also hears appeals from childminders and nursery school providers regarding registration or funding eligibility, and addresses parental concerns about free nursery education. Additionally, it deals with disciplinary and capability matters for senior officers and employees, and considers applications for the registration of Village Greens under the Commons Act 2006.
