The Children's Committee of the Council of the Isles of Scilly was responsible for setting the strategic direction for the Council's work with children and young people, ensuring their safety and well-being were central to local plans. It undertook statutory duties related to education, safeguarding, access to services, and corporate parenting for looked-after children, including those with disabilities up to age 25. The committee also managed its budgets, developed the Children and Young People's Plan, and worked with partner organisations and the Health and Wellbeing Board to improve outcomes for children and young people on the Isles of Scilly.
