The Democratic Processes Panel, now discontinued, was an informal body comprising all elected members of the Isles of Scilly Council. Its purpose was to make recommendations to the Full Council to ensure members were fully empowered, decision-making was efficient and accountable, and community views were integrated into policy and scrutiny. The panel had an initial overview of the Authority's governance and working practices, with no delegated powers. It also reviewed changes to Standing Orders for public engagement and the Council's processes in relation to legislation, such as the Localism Act 2011.
