The Planning Committee was responsible for exercising the Council of the Isles of Scilly's powers and duties as the Local Planning Authority. It decided on planning applications, responded to consultations on planning legislation and policies, and reviewed the delivery of the AONB Management Plan. The committee also formulated public consultation on the Local Plan and managed key worker functions. However, certain significant decisions, such as adopting Local Plans, withdrawing Conservation Area Status, or decisions involving financial compensation, were reserved to the full Council.
