This committee, related to the use of inter-island boats, aims to improve the accuracy of invoicing and prompt payment for boat trips undertaken by Members of the Isles of Scilly Council. Off-Island Members will submit monthly forms detailing boat bookings, trip types, payment arrangements, and shared usage. St. Mary's Members travelling to Off Islands will also use boating sheets. This process ensures accurate cross-checking of invoices against trip details, facilitating timely payments to boat operators and reimbursement of Members' expenses, provided VAT receipts are supplied for any personal payments.
